Dr. Muhittin Yalçın

About me:
I am a specialist in Endocrinology and Metabolism. I graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2003 and completed my Internal Medicine residency at Dokuz Eylul University. Following this, I pursued a master’s degree in Endocrinology and Metabolism at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine.

 

I began my academic career in the Endocrinology and Metabolism department at Gazi University, where I was appointed Associate Professor in 2019. Throughout my career, I have contributed to the education of numerous students and physicians. I regularly do presentation at medical conferences and symposiums on topics related to endocrinology and metabolism.

 

With a passion for providing patient-centered care I provide comprehensive and individualized approach to treatment. I`m dedicated to helping patients understand their conditions and empowering them to take an active role in managing their health.

My clinical interests include thyroid disorders, type 1 and type 2 diabetes, and obesity. I am also experienced in thyroid ultrasonography and interventional thyroid procedures. Additionally, I specialize in pituitary diseases, adrenal disorders, male hypogonadism, and thyroid cancer.

 

My clinical interests include thyroid disorders, including hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules, and thyroid cancer, with expertise in performing thyroid ultrasonography and fine-needle aspiration biopsies. In diabetes management, I offer treatment plans such as insulin therapy and continuous glucose monitoring. My expertise also extends to managing obesity and metabolic disorders, including metabolic syndrome and insulin resistance. Additionally, I have substantial experience in diagnosing and treating pituitary and adrenal disorders, such as pituitary adenomas, Cushing's syndrome, and Addison's disease.

 

I have published over 60 articles in national and international journals and have received various awards from esteemed organizations for my contributions to the field.
