About Me:
I graduated from Anadolu University Faculty of Medicine in 1988. Following my graduation, I started my specialization training at Atatürk Chest Diseases and Thoracic Surgery Hospital (Sanatorium), renowned for being one of Ankara's and Turkey's busiest chest disease hospital with a diverse patient profile.

 

In 1995, I became a specialist in Chest Diseases and Tuberculosis and continued my academic journey at the same hospital. I was chief assistant in the Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases departments. During this period, I also managed the Outpatient Chemotherapy Service, gaining extensive experience in patient care.

 

Since 2010, I've been practicing in the private sector, focusing on conditions such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), lung cancer, and asthma—diseases increasingly linked to smoking and environmental pollution. COPD and lung cancer have become two of the leading causes of mortality worldwide, making early detection and treatment crucial.

 

Another area of my expertise is sleep apnea, a condition that has gained significant attention in recent years. Sleep apnea involves the repeated obstruction of the upper airway during sleep, leading to symptoms like snoring, fatigue, irritability, and excessive daytime sleepiness. If not treated promptly, it can result in severe complications such as stroke, heart attack, or even death.

 

Throughout my career, I've performed numerous bronchoscopy procedures. This endoscopic technique allows for the direct visualization of the airways (bronchi) and the collection of materials like biopsies and lavage fluids. Bronchoscopy is essential for diagnosing and treating various pulmonary conditions, particularly lung cancer.
My commitment to patient care extends to offering comprehensive treatment and management options, aiming to improve the quality of life for those suffering from respiratory conditions.
