About Me:
In 1993, I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Hacettepe University. After that I completed my specialization training in 1998 at Etlik Zübeyde Hanım Gynecology and Obstetrics Hospital, known for its huge, diverse patient profile and intensive care environment in Ankara.

During the first 10 years of my career, I worked in an area with a high patient volume. Over this period, I gained extensive experience in handling a wide range of obstetrics and gynecology cases, treating patients of all ages and backgrounds. Working both in a state hospital and my private clinic, I had the unique opportunity to follow and treat the same women at various stages of their lives. This experience not only enriched my professional knowledge but also enhanced my ability to understand people, events, and situations from multiple perspectives.

Later, I worked in a private hospital for about 10 years. For the past five years, I have been using my expertise in my own gynaecology clinic in Ankara. Throughout my 25-year career, I have been involved in the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of various conditions related to general obstetrics and gynaecology, such as ovarian cysts, fibroids, menstrual irregularities, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), pregnancy monitoring and associated issues, menopause and its related conditions, sexual health, sexually transmitted diseases, wart treatments, contraceptive methods, infertility, and more. I continue to work with the same passion, continually updating my knowledge and applying my experience.

In addition to medical conditions, I have recognized that various stages of a woman’s life, such as puberty, reproductive years, pregnancy, and menopause, bring unique challenges that affect their bodies, mental states, and social situations. Many patients approach these phases with preconceived notions and taboos, often mistaking normal changes for illnesses, which can lead to difficulty in adaptation and eventually result in actual health problems. Conversely, those who could prepare themselves physically and mentally tend to experience these transitions easily and more positively. Witnessing this significant difference has profoundly impacted me. Helping women embrace these life stages with a positive outlook rather than as a burden is something that truly excites me and makes me feel I am making a valuable contribution.

My work in sexual therapy has further opened my eyes to the prevalence of issues such as vaginismus, low sexual desire, inability to orgasm, painful intercourse, and premature ejaculation, and the low rates at which people seek medical help for these issues. Until 20-30 years ago, female sexuality was not discussed or studied scientifically. It’s remarkable how sexual therapy can almost always resolve conditions like vaginismus, even when couples have no physical barriers yet cannot engage in sexual activity for long periods. Patients often find that seeking expert help for their sexual issues brings greater benefits than expected, positively impacting their lives and relationships. As a doctor, I take great satisfaction in being involved in treating sexual dysfunctions and witnessing the results.

Exploring sexual dysfunctions often reveals that relationship problems are a significant factor affecting sexual life. To achieve healthy sexuality, especially for women, it's essential to address other aspects of the relationship. To support sexual therapy, I ventured into couples therapy and family counselling, completing a Master’s program in Interdisciplinary Family Counselling at Ankara University.

Ince 2022, I have been giving family and marriage therapy. Over time, I found working with family counselling and couples therapy, even without sexual therapy, to be highly rewarding and effective. It is not difficult for individuals and couples to identify and address their problems, both individually and within their relationships. I aim to transform complex and exhausting relationships into more cheerful forms, helping people define themselves and their relationships better, express their expectations clearly, and find solutions.
